The auditorium seats 30 and provides space for lectures, presentations and screening of films.

The auditorium seats 30 people. In the auditorium lectures and presentations are given, these can be professionals as 'artist in residence' connected to the Schoenenkwartier, but also students who can present the design process as the completion of a school assignment.

Films from, among others, the historical film collection of the Shoe Quarter will be shown here but also the interviews that are part of the permanent exhibition will be shown on a large screen. Topics may include, sustainability, history of the Langstraat. The process of making shoes. These films change regularly.

For school classes participating in a curriculum, an explanation of the equipment cabinet will be provided by showing and feeling a number of special pieces, including a sheet of a python snake.

It is also possible for companies to rent the auditorium for presentations, also possible outside the regular opening hours.

We see ourselves as a connecting force between craft and innovation, between industry and education and important themes such as sustainability.

We see ourselves (the shoe district) as a connecting force between craft and innovation, between industry and education and important themes such as sustainability. This attitude inspired us to look for cooperation for the interior in the field of education, creative craftsmanship and social and cultural sustainability. This can be seen in the auditorium by the special seat cushion. Commissioned by the Schoenenkwartier they were designed and implemented by students of mbo SINTLUCAS in Boxtel training Creative craftsman leather.

We are open to more such collaborations with educational and business communities throughout the Shoe District.
