Gratis op avontuur met Okke de Spin in het Grand Hotel 2026!
On Saturday, Aug. 30 and Sunday, Aug. 31, Okke's Grand Hotel is free to visit!
Between noon and 5 p.m., step into a world of games, riddles and activities.
From conjuring snakes to stacking shoeboxes and spinning your own spider web - there's something to do in every hotel room.
The Grand Hotel is especially for children and housed in the House of Waalwijk, next to the Schoenenkwartier.
Please note that free admission this weekend applies only to the Grand Hotel, not the museum.
Children up to age 12 may only enter when accompanied by an adult.
Okke spiders are also still hidden in Waalwijk. Do you find one? Then you can keep it!
Some spiders are extra special: they carry a golden stamp - the so-called golden ticket.
Whoever finds it will receive one free entry to both the Grand Hotel and the Schoenenkwartier (for max. 5 people, of which max. 2 adults).
Prefer to get started yourself? Make your own mini-Okke during a short workshop in the Shoe Quarter.
