It goes without saying that the common thread of our collection is the history of the regional leather and shoe industry, shoe technology and shoemaking methods, leather tanning and leather processing and related subjects. The archive section houses a wealth of historical literature, professional journals, (digital) documentation material and audiovisual media.

HOUSE RULES

• No material will be loaned; however, there is opportunity for scanning. Exceptions are fragile works.
• Photograph without flash and for personal use only.
• It is possible to request materials in advance by mail or telephone.
• Food and/or drinks are not permitted in the Knowledge Center.
• Coats and bags are not allowed in the Knowledge Center.

• Lockable lockers are available in the checkroom on the first floor.
