Okke the Spider is our cheerful children's mascot. A curious blue spider with eight legs and eight different (hand) shoes. Okke travels the world collecting unusual shoes and stories. Discover Okke's cheerful hang-out spots throughout the museum for kids to land, listen, watch and try on. Perfect for families!
Children's book author Paul van Loon, known for Dolfje Weerwolfje, wrote a magical book about Okke together with Olaf Vugts. Okke sets off from the Shoe Quarter with the Typola, an extraordinary machine. He travels through time and fantasy, meets mummies, leather eaters and singing centipedes and hunts for special shoes. A read-aloud and viewing book for children up to age 10.
