On June 28, 2022, the renovated Schoenenkwartier in Waalwijk opened its doors. Meanwhile, the museum with its Make Labs and Knowledge Center has been in existence for one year and is closing a great first year with 32,225 visitors. The Schoenenkwartier is two more temporary exhibitions, numerous workshops have been held and beautiful products have been developed in the Maaklabs. This morning, the Shoe Quarter highlighted its 32,226th visitor in a special way. Upon entering, the surprised visitor received a beautiful bunch of flowers from the new director and a voucher to purchase a gift from the Museum after her/his visit to take home a gift from the Museum Shop.
Earlier, we reported that the Shoe Quarter is celebrating its first anniversary for all visitors by highlighting some special, recent donations. The Spotlight Cabinet features a small overview of notable designer shoes from the design and fashion world that were donated last year. So those who have not yet visited the Shoe Quarter have an extra reason to come and take a quick look at this anniversary gift.
